Suzie
Suzie is sweet, but lacks a certain sophistication that makes other women stand out. She retains a child-like approach to life, with key components missing. She is cute but doesn't always present herself well, often wearing outfits or hair styles that are just a little "off." In fact a lot of things about her are a little "off." She's sort of like the pet of the group. She laments that she has gained weight - nothing major, but something she obsesses over - and yet can't stay off the sweets and doesn't believe in dieting and exercise.
She wants good things to happen magically. She is the innocent abroad type. She has come to LA because she wants to act, but she isn't cutthroat enough for it, at times. She assumes the best of people, and this has imbued her with some delusions about life, which can get her into trouble. She believes in true love but has high standards.
Annabelle
Annabelle is a beautiful fitness instructor who is at once more and less sophisticated than Suzie. She is really into working out and eating well, and always looks put together. But she's a homebody and doesn't use her looks to her full advantage. She has no idea of her potential and often ends up with men who are such losers, the other girls cannot believe she can't recognize how low she is stooping. She gives people the benefit of the doubt to a fault.
She is from the LA area, which lends her some wisdom, but not much. She has tons of energy for her three roommates but doesn't like going out and partying or meeting new people. She's more simple than she appears and sometimes cannot be reasoned with.
Kinsey
The feisty one in the group, Kinsey is the opposite of innocent, and often makes the others somewhat uncomfortable with how much she puts out there. Nothing embarrasses her, nothing grosses her out. She's very sexual and completely in tune - perhaps even obsessed -- with her sexuality. For that reason, she's sort of the "older sister" role to the other girls, whom she finds absurdly innocent at times. But she also can be the wayward "bad girl" who needs straightening out at times. She is an actress who has done some porn, but quit because it was "boring."
We don't know a lot about her background, but she is from New York, and she says her family is "fucked up," and leaves it at that. You get the sense she had to grow up fast. Her name used to be Kelly but she changed it to Kinsey because she loved Doctor Kinsey, who studied human sexuality in the 1950s.
Rhett
Rhett is a yoga instructor from LA who is obsessed with her weight and looks and has a tremendous sense of discipline. To her, it's not complicated. You just have to basically not eat, and work out all the time, to look good. And being skinny is the best anybody could ever ask for. She is patient with other people, and doesn't judge, but still sees it as a hard fact that to accomplish your goals in life, you need to look hot, and that means skinny.
She is practical and matter-of-fact in her interactions, but still has a soft spot for others underneath a professional and sometimes serious veneer. Boyfriends and relationship issues are not to be analyzed emotionally. It's more of a science to her than anything else.
